Height: 60-90cm
Spacing: 30cm
Bloom period: January-March. Bobbing, plum-coloured, oval flowers on long, branched stems, over a low clump of feathery foliage. A florist I work with calls them 'berries on a stick' and loves using them in her bouquets. It seems to be a hard-to-find plant, but is easy to grow and harvest and will self seed a little.
It can be propagated easily by division as well.
Supplied in August as dormant bare-rooted plant divisions with a little soil/sawdust and wrapped in moist paper. Plant straight away in warmer climates, or pot up in a sheltered spot (e.g. greenhouse/coldframe) or store in lightly damp sawdust for up to a month before planting.
*Please Note: The price is for 3 larger grade bare-root divisions. These have been growing in our nursery for longer and are more established. Each one will become a plant.*
